Baobab Essentials

Master Chef Ma Belle Michelle Cooking Up Tchou

Infusing the colorfully warm and friendly atmosphere and exotic drinks, the Baobab menu consists of 3 basic sauces of Tchou, Mafe or Yassa served over either Beef, Tofu, Chicken or Fish with a side of vegetables, salad, and couscous or rice. This may sound simple, but the sauces are renowned for their incredible and exotic spices at once intriguing, yet not overpowering. These dishes are also augmented with Kebab, Teriyaki and Stewed selections.  Deserts are exotic home made creations such as ginger and coconut ice creams, often served with Banane Flambé, bananas sautéed in rum.

This San Francisco Baobab treat is well worth the modest admission and reflects and embodies Marco’s Sénégalese motto emblazoned above the Bissap Baobab entrance: ‘Leke Mo Bax,’ that is, ‘Eating is Good!’
